Learn to recognise and prevent problems, and, if necessary, manage emergencies. During the course in-water training exercises build up confidence and abilities to enable you to handle a range of situations from a tired diver, through search patterns to recovering an unconscious diver. In-water training culminates in a series of accident scenarios giving you the opportunity to put your new skills into practice. The PADI Rescue Diver course is generally considered a must if you plan to dive without professional supervision.
HOW TO BECOME A PADI RESUCE DIVER
The 2 steps to certification are …
Theory
Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. The theory part is completed via e-Learning alongside Instructor presentation. Read the digital manual and complete the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter leading to a multiple choice exam covering the whole manual. In addition you will complete an Emergency plan for the dive site where you train.
In-water excercises
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills.
Diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to obtain written approval from a physician prior to diving. We have a doctor on call to answer any questions and who makes the final decision as to who can dive. Any queries please let us know.
We do not schedule set dates for completing a course. You are on holiday! We can complete courses any day except Sunday.
Easy! Simply press the book now button. An inquiry form will come to us and we will organise dates, transfers and answer any questions.
