HOW TO BECOME A PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER?

The 2 steps to certification are …

  1. Theory

Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to

know for dive safety and enjoyment. Read the chapters for the dives you are

making and complete the knowledge review at the end of the chapter. The theory

section is completed via e-Learning alongside Instructor presentations.

  1. Adventure Dives

You complete 5 Adventure dives for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. There are 2 required dives, deep and navigation. We also include the night dive as part of the course.

During the Deep dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. Night diving is so much fun, explore the difference under Instructor supervision.

Frequently asked questions:

Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to obtain written approval from a physician prior to diving. We have a doctor on call to answer any questions and who makes the final decision as to who can dive. Any queries please let us know.
