About us

Pefkos is situated just beyond Lindos in the south of the island, a beautiful part of the island and named after the pine trees which surround it. The base has a shady area, shower and toilet facilities. Guests are advised to bring snacks with them.

We run our diving and snorkelling programmes from Fokia beach next to the dive base every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday morning meeting at our Waterhoppers Base at 9 am for registration. A transfer is available from hotels in the south of the island for an additional 8 euro (return) per person.

Try Diving

If you have always wanted to try diving here is your chance! Discover the beautiful aquatic world with our Try Dive programme. Almost anyone can enjoy diving; you will be surprised by just how easy it is. After a simple and fun theory lesson you will soon be gliding through our amazing underwater world.

Qualified

Pefkos offers two shallow dives, with great visibility and calm water, suitable for all dive qualifications. The site features a large rocky reef, sandy areas, Poseidon grass and a small swim throughs and is home to a wide range of smaller Mediterranean Sea life, with the chance to see sting rays early in the summer.

Snorkelling

With clear, warm water and stunning scenery above and below the water Kalithea is the ideal place to learn or improve your snorkelling skills. The Waterhoppers snorkelling programme offers a tour with an experienced guide including a lesson and fish id.

PADI Certification courses

The Waterhoppers Diving School is the premier PADI training facility in Rhodes with over 25 years of experience – join the adventure and learn to dive with the Waterhoppers. With our friendly team of experienced, multi-lingual Instructors we are able to offer a comprehensive range of PADI qualification courses - from PADI Scuba Diver through to professional level courses.
